After the sound check, we set up the merch table.
We didn't sell much. It could be that these personalized, hand-crafted Ts are an acquired taste. Or, perhaps the people were put off by the scary bearded man taking the orders.
Either way, we are extremely grateful to those of you who are supporting us by donning a MW shirt. If you don't yet have one or you'd simply like another one, please email me - sarah@maywoodband.com - and we'll hook you up!

Right about now, you're probably asking your monitor,
"WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG??"

One day I will visit this place. It has captured my imagination ever since the first time my school teachers took St Patrick's day off to make crafts fashioned into shapes of shamrocks, rainbows and pots of gold.

pretty sure I accidentally swallowed sand paper

So I woke this morning at 3:00am, choking on my own drainage. Lovely, no? I tried sitting up, turning over and nothing helped. I was like a broken faucet of snot. Then, of course, the pets were awake and concerned. The cat started her morning routine early by jumping from surface to surface barking her little "mawr mawr mawr." And the dog, while much more respectful than the cat, was breathing heavy and trying very hard not to let her whines escape her jowls. Fail.
good day, with no explanation why

At work. No, they still haven't blocked maywoodband.com, even though it may seem that way from my lack of blog activity. I've been blogging on Facebook, actually. My husband and I just got back from vacation in America's Polynesian island, Hawai'i, and I've been documenting our experiences on that networking site. If you're not my FB friend, look me up. I'm listed as Sarah Fluff. Why? Eh, I dunno. I'll probably change it back to Sarah Sheldon soon.
Eternal Life is Expensive!
Sarah — December 30, 2009 - 8:24pm
So after checking my email, facebook and browsing maywoodband.com for new content, I stood up to leave just as Greg's face became a crestfallen mask of incredulity as he exclaimed at his own monitor,
"Eternal life is expensive!"
I responded "Yes. In fact I'm sure that was the exact look on Jesus' face in the Garden of Gethsemane."
We laughed. He was, of course, referring to an overpriced item in the auction house in the World of Warcraft, but I couldn't stop myself. It's going for 20 gold! Aahh how we take these things for granted.

Greg (my hubby) and I have been snowed in for the past two days. This is how I've spent my free time:

I have two monitors. On the left is my level 40 Dranai priest, Orielle, in the widely popular online game World of Warcraft. She's not my highest level character, but I've enjoyed playing her for the last few days now.
