"Family" Problems

Please pray for my mixer (an Allen & Heath ZED R16, also referred to as "Allen")
...and my computer (a Macbook Pro, which I call "Mackenzie").
...They're having some medical problems.
Mackenzie was suffering from a rare mental disease known as LeopardNotLoadRight. This condition was making her irritable and she often pushed her friends (External HDs and interfaces) away. They tried pull her out of this depression with newer and newer drivers. But nothing seemed to work. I talked to her doctor (an Apple Genius) at the local bar (Genius Bar at the apple store), and he recommended a lobotomy (wipe her hard drive). I was stunned at first that he would recommend such a drastic procedure, but he assured me that her friends (external HDs) would restore her memory in due time.
So we had the procedure last night. It was quick and painless. She's running Tiger with no problems. She would like to someday run Snow Leopard, but I told her "one step at a time." So far she's recovering well and rediscovering the world around her (AKA updates). Mackenzie is currently studying (AKA "Loading") Logic Studio 8 as I write this. And I'm wishing she was faster. But one cannot complain, because it has been a tough couple of days. Keep her in your prayers.
Alongside Allen is suffering from a slight medical condition having to do with his "backside interface". He's kind of sensitive about it, but his firewire port has a bus/ground issue that causes unpredictable dropouts. His doctor (Allen&Heath Tech support) recommended I take him to a specialist (Preston Electronics in Lee's Summit) to have a small procedure to remedy the problem. The man at Preston Electronics seemed very kind, and I think Allen is in good hands. Pray for his recovery.
