Stupid rain

I can tell the severity of the rainfall by the frequency of the taps I hear on the air conditioning vent in the ceiling of my office.
I am not a happy camper.
It started raining sometime before lunch. That's maybe an hour ago. I found out when Jess sent me a text asking what we're going to do about tonight. Which leads to me exactly why I'm not a happy camper. Hillsong United plays in KC tonight. I've never seen them live. My first Hillsong show.
Stupid rain.
So here I am, sitting, praying for a little bit of clear sky, just for a little while tonight. I know a lot of people who could benefit from this concert tonight. I hope it clears up.

to me, there's nothing better

And God said...
Lupo — April 23, 2010 - 9:03am...it's not going to rain on Hillsong United!
And it didn't.
So the concert was amazing. A very good first experience for me with Hillsong United. But probably the most amazing part was the weather. It almost completely stopped raining. There were a few moments during the concert where I felt a drop of rain on my head and thought to myself "Well, here it comes!", but the skies never opened up. In fact, for most of the time we were there, the sky was actually CLEAR.
On the way home, Jess and I were talking and joking around, not really paying attention to the weather. Then, all of the sudden Jess stopped talking, looked over at me and said...
"Look... It's raining!"
God is good.

Scotty — April 25, 2010 - 8:09pmAt the time of your post, I too was fearing the rain. However, at about 5pm I resolved that I didn't mind it... in fact, in a weird way I was looking forward to it.
I can't think of anything I'd rather do in a deluge.... than worship!
That said, it was pretty awesome the way the clouds just opened up and the night was incredible! Praise God!!
