My Musical Start: I started playing piano when I was in kindergarten, because I wanted to be able to play Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer for my class's Show-and-Tell. My mom was my first teacher, and kept me interested in playing music. When I was in second grade, I started playing violin, which continued until my sophomore year in high school. That's when I discovered bass. I think my parents were just happy that I wanted to continue playing music, so they bought me my first bass guitar.
My Musical Influences: I try to listen to all sorts of music, but a few of my favorite bands are the Fray, Jimmy Eat World, Linkin Park, and really anything emo. When I write, I tend toward classical arrangements (ask Scott about a couple of the songs we wrote together in a band called Winner Road) and big guitar parts. I'm convinced Beethoven and Mozart would have had great fun with electric guitars.
Something Unique: I believe I'm the only member of this band to actually injure themselves playing music. Several times. Recently.
Something Funny: I am a leap-year kid, so mathematically, I'm going to be seven and a half years old next February.
